When Simon Cowell is not giving nasty comments on the X Factor or making millions from managing musical talents, he is somewhere on the oceans of Italy, aboard the Slipstream. The 53-year old likes to relax on the chartered yacht with his harem of mermaids. The X Factor judge is reported to pay $458,000 a week for the 196.9-foot luxury yacht. Cowell spent one month on the Slipstream cruising around the Mediterranean. The $73-million luxury boat was meticulously prepared by a crew of 15, along with a celebrity chef.
The Slipstream has seven guest cabins which have been occupied by Simon’s friends, girlfriends, ex-fiancée and ex-best friend in his past holidays. The Mediterranean cruise has become a tradition for the British millionaire, and it is quite a privilege to be invited on the ostentatious vacation. Cowell and his bikini-clad friends will be photographed sunbathing on the deck that is also shared by a spa and an al-fresco dining area. The paparazzi had captured photos of Cowell while he is getting on a jet ski that comes with the chartered yacht. If Cowell feels like dipping his gorilla chest in water, an open-air Jacuzzi will serve that purpose. Cowell can maintain his tiptop shape on the ship with the exercise bikes and running machines.
The Slipstream is also packed with top-of-the-line entertainment system should Cowell and his mermaids get bored frolicking under the sun. On the top-most deck is the lounge which is enclosed in a glass wall for a splendid elevated view of the ocean. It opens to the deck where there are comfy outdoor furniture. Guests onboard the ship can enjoy the star-gazing on the deck’s lounge while they’re served cocktails and wine. One of the features of the Slipstream that Cowell probably enjoys is the retracting roof of one of the retreats with a waterbed and a Jacuzzi. This comfy lounge is coupled by the lavish renaissance interior of the cabins.
It’s not just Cowell who has been spending vacations on an exorbitant chartered yacht. Rihanna has been seen living the life on a Monaco luxury yacht charter. She and Cara Delevigne had gone on a cruise to San Tropez, delighting on the every luxury amenity on the Benetti luxury. Rihanna was reported to have spent around $800,000 for her sea faring extravagance. Other celebrities who’ve been known to spend vacations on luxury charter yachts are P. Diddy, Daniel Day Lewis, Kate Moss, Elton John, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.
