Jaguar has always been known for its luxurious cars that are sleek, stylish and fast. The only problem is that not everyone can afford their vehicles especially when they are priced a bit higher than the usual SUVs and compact cars. This has certainly slowed down the company’s growth over the years but it seems that Jaguar is coming up with something new that will help boost their sales in the coming years.
What is Jaguar planning to do? Why, invade a segment in the car industry that they haven’t tapped into before. The company is thinking of expanding their reach by producing compact cars and a crossover SUV which will then be competing against other popular car manufacturing brands such as BMW and Audi. Jaguar is targeting the year 2015 as the time when they will release their new segment into the car industry that can either make or break their growth as compact cars and SUVs are all the rage these days.
Based on reports that have been circulating the Internet, it appears that the luxury compact car is a go already compared to the crossover SUV plan that Jaguar has in mind. Everyone expects Jaguar to unveil their plans for their new car segment at the Frankfurt Motor Show which will be held later this year. Jaguar’s new baby will most likely be called Jaguar XS. The brand new compact car that the company is already planning including other models that will fall in the luxury compact car segment will be made from all aluminium which is the same as that of Jaguar’s XJ model.
The new Jaguar XS is said to be priced within the $30,000 range which is just the same as the rest of the compact cars being sold today. This way, they will be able to lure customers who wish to own a Jaguar at a price that is within their reach. The price of this luxury compact car will put Jaguar alongside some of the toughest competitions out there like Mercedes and BMW which is worth seeing in the future.
With the Frankfurt Motor Show just a few weeks away, car lovers and critics alike are getting excited on what Jaguar can offer its customers in the compact car segment. And if the price tag that the company is planning on attaching to their new product, it may be that they will attract interest far and wide.
